Welcome to Jerusalem!
In the past few years, Jerusalem has undergone a flourishing renaissance. The city of Jerusalem has become a rising metropolis with growing industries in the health and life sciences, unparalleled tourism and culture, steady economic growth and religious freedom for all residents.
International Dance Week is an important part of this cultural renaissance. This is the fourth year in which we greet dancers, artists, creators and directors and festivals from Israel and abroad in our capital. Each year, the city comes alive with incredible performances and the international choreography competition.
There is no better place to host International Dance Week than Jerusalem – an international hub for art and culture.
I welcome all participants from the Machol Shalem Dance House, who are under the exemplary artistic direction of Ofra Idel and Ruby Edelman. For the fourth year, they have brought the best of the art world to Jerusalem, Israel's capital.
May this week be a fun and inspiring festival for us all!
